Searching in an unknown landscape and shipwrecked to find the limits of my body; my hands, my teeth and my voice. I become the other; another rhythm, another musicality.
My eyes do not perceive, my words do not describe. The other hides and seeks refuge to protect himself. My previous images trace the lines of the horizon, the unknown reveals itself through the echoes of my landmarks.
I have this feeling of being identified through the looks of those I meet. Clichés exchanged, lost in our contrasted representations of eachother. Me and the other in me, we hide. Over time, we discover that these mutual gazes turn out to be timid.
On a journey through traditions, I discover: movements that both conceal and reveal, images of gestures that touch and cover the objects, making them non-visible, intimate.
ENTRE NOUS attempts to decipher the historical metric of this movement which shapes distances between the intimate and the private, the public and the hidden.
Here, intimacy reveals itself as an invisible fold of experience, a whisper of life within the visible. Here, the landscape, the horizon, the body, power and imagination, are like ephemeral images in a delicate dance, weaving the fabric of existence between the secret and the known.
